Sandra Ramsey, our former pastor’s wife, shares a few pictures and memories of her trip to Uganda, Africa in June 2012. She and thirty others partnered with the Rick Via Ministries and Arise Africa International. The team consisted of pastors, nurses, and lay leaders. Their main ministry was a town called Jinja and its surrounding villages. Hillcrest Baptist Church has supported this mission endeavor since the year 2000.

I love the people of Uganda. They are very precious to me. They are like family and when they are hurting and in need, I care deeply.
— Sandra Ramsey

This is a group of pastor’s wives and other leaders from local churches who attended our women’s leadership conference. It was an honor to share God’s Word and my experiences with them.

In the past 12 years, we have seen many Ugandans come to Christ and individual lives drastically changed. Each year during our trips, we have the opportunity to minister in a variety of ways such as: One on One Evangelism, Medical Clinics, Pastor Training, Hut Ministry, Pastor’s Wives Training, School Assembly, Prison Ministry, Orphanage Ministry, and University Ministry.

The children of Uganda are very beautiful and sweet. They love for us to talk to them, give them hugs, and take their pictures. It is sad to see so much poverty. They have nothing and God is their everything. We tell the people that the medicine we give you will not last long, but God's love will.

I want to say a special thanks to my church, Hillcrest Baptist Church, for providing funds to help pastors, for school fees for children, medical fees, and money for Women's Ministries. I thank God for the opportunities we have been given to minister to the precious people of Uganda.

Pray for the people of Uganda.

Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.
— Revelation 22:12
